Sift Media is looking for bloggers involved in the accounting profession to join our illustrious Bloggers Crew. We are looking for writers with specific knowledge of certain topics, including (but not limited to) International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), tax, and technology. Writers' guidelines for Guest Articles
Sift Media encourages and actively seeks article submissions from our members and other experts in their respective fields.
Possible topics include: accounting and assurance services, tax and tax consulting services, business and management consulting, information technology, management, marketing and sales, human resources and recruiting, personal/professional development, new service opportunities, and other subjects that accounting professionals will find of value.

Article guidelines
Articles on Sift Media's family of Web sites are 500 to 1,500 words. We strongly encourage our authors to follow this general guideline. Guest articles may be submitted to editor@sift-media.com. You may contact our offices if you wish to discuss a regular Guest Author Status at 1-866-688-1678 ext 16.
Byline
All guest articles will be attributed to the author and a one-paragraph description of the author and/or company will be included at the bottom, along with a hyperlink to the company Web site, if appropriate. No honorariums are paid for any guest articles that are published.
Photos
Photos typically are not included in the article. However, if you believe there is a particular advantage to adding a photo to your submission, you may include a digital file in jpg, gif, bmp, or png format when you submit the article. If you attach images to your submission, they should be no larger than 1 meg in size. If people are in the image, please identify them.
Copyright
Authors are asked to sign a publishing contract that provides Sift Media with a non-exclusive license to reproduce the article on Sift Media's Web sites, and in any commercial product that Sift Media or its affiliates offer to its members.
Acceptance
Articles for publication are selected at the sole discretion of the Sift Media editorial staff.
Self-Promotion in the article
Submissions referring to a particular product or service that solves the problem identified in the article (direct self-promotion) will be referred to our sales department and will be addressed through advertising opportunities at Sift Media.
Following is a list of additional guidelines for submitting guest articles to Sift Media for possible publication:
- Stories should be saved using Microsoft Word 97 format, meaning the file should have the .doc suffix, not .docx suffix
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 point
- Single space after end of sentence
- No indent at start of paragraph
- Two full returns after paragraphs. In your MS Word settings, "Spacing After" and "Spacing Before" should read "0 pt"
- Sift Media uses the serial comma
- Use plain quote marks (san serif)
